So my cars distributor messed up this week so i swapped it out and bought a new one bought a new cap and rotor and just to make sure i bought a new main relay so it worked good for 2 days. I fueled my car and when i turned it on my check engine light turned on and driving my car would not go over 3700 rpm it would stall it felt like it was red lining i got home and turn the car off and turned it back on and now the car works fine. Should i been tripping any opinions of what it could be just anything is appreciated.

 

who installed the new dist? sounds like it might not be seated correctly.

 

sounds like a bad connecton to me you might not of needed a new dis and cap. do you know what code was set?

 

if it runs fine now then just leave it alone lol, well but it could be your ign coil going bad.
