Distributor question????????????

have a d series obd1 NON vtec dizzy with a obd1 VTEC cap...would that affect the dizzy from working or it wouldn't matter?????????????????

All '92 - '00 D-series engines use the same distributor cap, even the OBD1 DOHC ZC.
