hey guys, I wanted to know if anyone has attempted to install the miracle X bar by Next on a Honda civic Coupe, Preferably on a 92-95, but 96-00 will do as well. any pics ?????

EMSRACING makes the Triangulated Trunk Bar, but I want the X bar by Next.

 

What year is your car?

you can only use the following applications specified

92-95 eg & 94-01 dc2(same)

96-00 ek(one model)

99-00 em1(one model)

 

94 civic 2 door Coupe... Not hatchback or EG

 

is it the one that goes on the floor or stands up? the vertical mounting one fits hatches only

Well if that is the one you want it is only going to fit into a hatch it looks like it mounts to where the the rear seatbelts attach in the coupe you have a nonremovable rear deck. So I am not quite sure how you would then get the bar down to the rear shock mounts

 

If you see the hatchback has the X bar tilted backwards. I think that maybe if I turn it around it will fit the Coupe which will need something to be tilted forward like this. What you guys think???




this is the Coupe that inspired me to try and see if I can install a X bar like the hatchbacks or Integras out there. what do you guys think will the X bar work or should I just try some other idea???

Nice setup but I would miss having a rear seat!

 

ya unless your just autocrossing this car I would advise against it I guess i just use my back seat too much.

 

I've never seen it done before... buy one and try it out. If it doesn't work, sell it.

 

That PJDM bar look sick... Does it really help though?

 

like the PJDM one its cool! oma see about the x bar on the Coupe. If not ill sell it like "Chiodos" sated....................BUTTTTT, what about the spare tire?????? you will have to uninstall the PJDM bar. think it might be too annoying when you get a flat.

I'm pretty sure as long as it's a donut and not a full size spare, you can get it out without removing the brace.

 

i dont think you can take the dummy out! ...what you can do is put it on one of the sides and tie it down with those stretchy things with a hook?

 

x2, i would feel weird not having a back seat. it would feel like the car isnt complete.
