Default J's Racing style C-pillar bar

As seen on http://jdmshit.com/parts/interior/index.html

It says:
Fits Following Cars (92-95 Civic, 94-01 Integra, 96-00 Civic Hatchback)

Any reasons it should not fit a 2-door (coupe) 97 civic also? Anyone tested?
What modifications will i have to do to make it fit?

I'm a bar-*****... eh... i want one.

No need for one, your rear deck where the speakers are connects those C-pillars since it's a stamped metal piece going across the back of the car, you're better off gettign a 4-point roll bar. I remember this being asked awhile back and everyone was saying it won't do anything since you have a coupe.

I don't think it will fit either man...I think the hatch is wider in the back then the coupe in relation to the c-pillar...i think you'd have to modify the bar and if you did that then byebye warranty, I just wouldnt waste the money if its just for bling factor and it wont do anything for the car except remove the use of the rear seat belts, that is if you carry passengers

Hey, its your money can't stop you, but it won't do anything to a coupe unlike a roll bar, which is the king of bars IMO...i think you'd be better off spending the money on dyno time or put towards a 4 point Autopower roll bar

Roll bars are pretty damn expensive to ship to europe.

But it's a good tip. Thanks.

Well, if theres a shop around you that can bend 2inch or bigger piping you could have a custom one made for the car and have it pretty much be just like the Autopower bar, mounting plates and everything...just make sure that if you choose that way have atleast .25inch steel plates and Grade 8 bolts and nuts used for mounting if its not welded to the car itself

If you're set on getting the bar thou, I'd get the EM racing one, since they make one for the coupe http://www.emracing.com

you're in norway... mmm... why not get a rollbar / cage from D&W in Germany...? or anything from europe for that matter...?

there's enough knowledge for that kind of stuff around here to help you out...

or have a bar made custom...

Funny how the most obvious of answers always seem to come last.

As for not helping in a coupe.... I think it would help. The effects may be more obvious in a hatch, but it would still serve as a reinforcement to what the coupe already has. Just my opinion.

Yeah, thanks for the idea there... I'm not used to be calling people up and ask them for something more then the ususal day-to-day customer service. So that's why I did not think of asking JDMshit to test fit it. Yeah, whatever. Ill think about it. Thanks for all the good tips here guys. And yeah, i think it would help a bit too.
