Default LoveFab SST +GT3582R

I am getting really close to ordering all my turbo build-up parts and was just wondering if it is absolutely necessary to run dual waste gates with this setup?

If its a twin scroll manifold, you should really run two wastegates. If its a just a standard manifold, you dont really need to run two unless its a bigger turbo.

it depends on how much boost you want to run, if you want less than 10 or so psi i would go with twin 38's(new vband ones) or 44's if you have to

yaa i forgot to mention it is a twin scroll so it will have a divided t4 flange on it. I plan to run 15-20 psi street and 30-40psi on c16. does everyone who has twin scrolls use dual gates or is it just used for quicker spool up?

for "twin scroll" or divided inlets you pretty much have to use 2 gates unless they merge the 2 into one

so plan on buying 2 gates for it

is there a t4 gt35r that has a divided housing?

Earl, there are a couple divided T4 housings for the 35R. ATP and Garrett both make them.

Frenzy, you have the manifold yet? If you dont, just order the WGs from Lovefab.

I havent bought the manifold yet, but looking at the pictures on lovefab's website it looks like they mount the wategate in the center on the front of the collector which would place it evenly in between the divided housing. I would like to run just one tial 44mil gate to keep the plumbing simple. would this setup give me boost creep at 15 psi? Name: sst.JPG

Not related but thought id add this in, a quality exhaust manifold requires and equally impressive intake. Name: intake1.jpg

Earl, if you need one shoot me a PM.

Frenzy, are you sure its divided? I checked their website and it doesnt mention that about the manifold. If it is, they went with the budget/simple style. You dont need two WGs, but you have better boost control and dont get cross-talk between sides of the manifold.

No. one will be fine. It is a divided manifold. nothing more. as long as the placement of the wastegate is in the correct spot.
