belt noise

My 90 civic LX has some nasty belt noise when I engage my air conditioner. I think the belt might be loose.

How do I go about tightening the ac compressor belt?

Lossen the belt tensioner pulley bolt and then adjust the tensioner. There is the AC pulley, the Crank pulley and the other pulley the belt rides on is the tensioner pulley.

look it up in a manual...there is a tensioning bolt and a locking bolt for the tensioner

Hmm I don't have a diagram or a manual that shows me any of that stuff. No Chilton's yet either. Should I get one?

Am I going to need to take the wheel off and the splash guard to get at it?
