Default update on what I thought was a bent hub/ not a bent hub

Yup curbed my rim and thought I bent my hubhttps://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=251540

That's not the case. After a closer look the hub is fine. What appears to be bent is, what I think is called, the rear radius arm. Its the thing that stick off the rotor.

I do have a question if any one knows the answer? Is the "rear radius arm" unique to a type R or can I pull one of a gsr?

I believe it is unique, and if it isn't just hope everything else is straight and swap it.

AKA Trailing arm

I wouldnt be TOO concerned about your chassis being tweaked. Those arms have should have a threshold before it starts manglin the chassis. Make sense?

geez...

WHAT WERE YOU DOING !!!!

you could drive an ITR off a cliff and not bend one of those. I'm impressed Atleast it isn't something more serious...or complex.

lol, if you smacked it hard enough to bend the trailing arm, you better replace the hub too.

About the only thing you'll want to keep from the old trailing arm are the brakes and maybe the upper control arm if that's not tweaked too.

Check to see if it aligns correctly after replacement.

u can prolly even pull one off of an LS.. saves u money.. not 100% tho. but since its a ITR id go with either ITR or GSR

Can anyone recommend a place to pick up a trailing arm and maybe hub too?

Is it possible to straighten the trailing arm out?

here ya go...the picture on the page doesnt work for some reason so ill just post the link, but it does have the prices listed if you were to buy the parts from Acura. If you are gonna get a new one from Acura, contact the guys in Black R's sig. They will help you out.

haha nice pic. Looks a lot like mine ;-):

Anyways, the rubber on the ITR trailing arm is different from the other not R models. Otherwise I'd say just get a Civic trailing arm for free, swap the spindle over and get a new Hub. Total cost, less than $100 . . . .
