Default help! speakers cutting in an out.

hey guys, i have a 91 crx si, stock head unit (tape player and everything, lol).
i just recently replaced the 4 speakers that came with the car with brand new Infinity Reference speakers.

now on to the problems.

ever since i have owned the car, the front left speakers randomly(everyonce in a while) cuts off. like completely. and then randomly comes on when it decides to. I thought replacing them would fix it. it did....or so i thought. a little less often, it still cuts off completely. but NOW...very often the built in tweeters on the front left AND right cut in and out. and i listen to metal, so those symbals are starting to **** me off! The rears seem to be working fine, although the rears play a little more of the lows than the fronts. But i just figured that's how it was supposed to be.

The wiring job to the head unit is not very amazing. It is even wired directly to the battery! i dont even know where the original wire is that it goes to. it was cut, and then directed to the battery. It's annoying having to turn off the radio every time i turn off the car.

any help is very much appreciated!

sounds like the speaker wires insulation has torn or been cut, causing them to cut in and out. they play when they have a good connection and stop when the signal is interrupted.
i would trace the speaker wires and inspect them thoroughly and replace where/when necessary.

It could be the connection in the back of the radio you may have a loose speaker wire at the harness. If all speakers plays except that one.
