i just got a vis carbon fiber hood for my 95 hatch and i would like to install hood locks(the ones with the key). does anyone know any good shops in socal that will do this at a fair price. i called a few shops but they wanted about 75 bux. or has anyone installed their own hood locks? is it hard to do? or does anyone know some links with pictures of how to install it. thanks.

 

do it yourself its pretty damn easy. Hardest part is cutting the holes. Theres plenty of holes in the front frame, like behind the lights. Use whiteout on the pins to show the area on hood. Then use a rotory tool to cut out a big enough area for the hood to close over the pins. I used the rotory to make the top and bottom holes. Never had a use for the rotary b4 then. But glad I had it.

 

why do you want the locking ones? seriously, if someone wanted ur engine or parts off ur engine, they're gonna steal the car... thieves suck!

 

where can you get the hood locks ??
