Default Lost Speedo And Vtec

well story is i was driving down to highway shifted into 4th hit vtec speedo stopped working and so did vtec. Seems to be blowing the number 15 fuse under the dash? Also the lights got really dim and that battery went dead? also throwing a p0135 p0141 and ap0500 now. so i just threw a 30 amp fuse in there cause the 7.5 kept blowing and now the speedo started working? what the hell is going on.

Read this TSB.

You have a short in the main wire harness at the rear side of the intake manifold. This is a common problem. The TSB tells you have to identify and fix the problem.

NEVER do this again. You're asking for a car fire.

x2, your going to be replacing a lot more than a few wire if you smoke your dash harness or something else. theres a reason why fuses have different amperage ratings.

oh damn. i guess i need to change it back to the right fuse. but the 30 amp did work i guess just cause it can handle more amps and it just masked my problem. thanks guys for that never even thought about it.

Yeah, it will work and it may fix your problem but it won't blow like a 7.5A fuse. The 30A would just heat up and eventually make bad things happen.
