Clutch Suggestions...For 225whp
I did some research and saw many complaints about ACT, so I would like to stay away and get an Exedy, but which?
Please recommend me something....
I don't want it to stiff.
Car will put down 225whp and 155wtq
Will be daily driving.
Want it to be smooth.
Will be drag racing it at the track.
Thanx in advance.

I just got a competetion clutch stage 4 and its awesome drives real easy. I was afraid it would be a hard pedal or difficult to drive and its not .I really like it alot I am putting down 236 hp 183 ft lb torque and it holds it all day long and drives like its stock !
complaints about ACT clutches? i would like to complain about those people then.
as far as a single disc clutch, i wont pay money for anything but an ACT. i have never had an ACT clutch fail.
i am currently running an ACT Xtreame Pressure plate, and an LSD Motorsports sprung 6puck (ACT G6 was on backorder at the time), with Genuine Honda bearings (throwout and pilot). yes this is in my R, and i do daily drive it threw some shitty *** traffic.
220whp 148ft tq... soon to be more, much more.

you going to be running slicks with some sick burnouts? or just running on your standard street tires? i doubt a full face organic disc is gonna hold up to the heat of some smokey burnouts, pretty sure its not gonna like slicks at all and is just gonna smoke. and a puck'ed clutch will hold that but probably wont be "smooth" as you would like, takes some good practice.

I sold my stage 4 Competition clutch and went with this. Feels stock and has 280 ft lb capacity. $257.00

yeah seen the same on stock clutches. and just like stock clutches (cuz they pretty much are) they arent meant for racing! people beat the **** out of them "power shifting" and the springs fail and rattle around. got a friend that has killed two doing that, but prefers the stock feel (nice engagement, soft pedal) so he runs those clutches.
I have the ACT HDSS on a b20vtec that puts out 190whp/135tq and it has zero problems getting abused non-stop at the track.
Recently was at buttonwillow, clutch ran 15 out of 20 sessions (that's almost 4 hours non-stop) without a hiccup.

I would recommend the competition stage 4 hands down. They are really easy to drive and the will hold serious power. I have one in my integra. We sell act, exedy, and competition clutches and I have had far less complaints with the competition then anything else.
