Default What engine should I go for now?

I swapped in a D16z6 last winter, but I don't like it. What should I go for? I was thinking B16 like pretty much everybody else, but some told me they didn't like the B16 all that much. Not enough torque. What is better, B16, B18, B20, B20+vtec?

B16As are kinda old, a newer engine would be nice. Is the CRVTEC worth the price difference?

I really need some advice.

Sry, messed up the poll choices, you can add your own.

don't get a b16 everyone i talk to say they are dissaponted with the b16's performance. If you want to go fast get a b18c5 (my opinion) its out of a 96-00 integra type R

If you want a jump start on the competition get a B18 as long as it's a C1 or C5

Hey Zit, I'm sure you get a ton of questions about your set-up, but if you can link or E-mail about your set-up I would greatly appreciate it.

What kind of price can I expect for each of them? Money is always an issue....

Ok.. since the ITR motor (b18c5) is really expensive you could get a b18c1 and put a b16 head and intake manifold on it. The b16 head and manifold are the next best thing to the ITR. Slightly smaller TB but what the hell. A b18c1 with b16 head and intake manifold is the poor man's ITR.

Now, why I vote b18 instead of crvtec or b20 is because if you put on a good valve train on the b16 head like an ITR valvetrain or CTR or skunk2 you can rev the **** out of it with a chipped ecu or piggy pack program like a Vafc. The b16 and b18's will rev high and rev happy but the b20 with a b16 head would be good but you just can't rev it to 9k+.

B18Cs are out of my budget really. I guess I can go for a B16 right now and wait to maybe get a turbo on it, or get a B18b now and put a turbo on it sooner....hard decision...
