need help how to change fuel pump!! asap track meet tomorrow
my damn fuel pump gve up on me it wont power up my b18c1 an i have a track meet idk **** about fuel pump or electrical wiring if anyone know how can you help out thanks!
pull rear seat
the will be an oval cover, take the 4 screws off and slide it out of the way
Take the fittings off the pickup tubes for your fuel supply and return (WARNING, if there is fuel pressure still in the lines, it will spray everywhere), more than likely there wont be as it wasn't working
unhook the wiring to the pump
take the 6 or 8 bolts off the top of the picup and pull the whole assembly out
be careful not to hit it on anything so it doesn't know the strainer off or bend the fuel level sending unit
there will be a pump on the pickup. Unhook the power and ground wires from it and slide it out.
Put new pump in the same way.
Cheers

sounds good man, it's really easy.
I learned the whole fuel system real well when my main relay went out and i had to run a wire to the pump from the battery every time i had to drive it lol

Dont change the pump yet.
When you turn the car on, do you hear a click from under the dash by the door pillar? If not im sure its your main relay. Even if it does click, borrow a friends and try it...More than likely its your main relay. Fuel pumps dont go out very often...

This is what we were trying to explain to you in the other thread, EG6KILIN. You need to rule things out before switching out the fuel pump.
You could have...
Bad Fuses (Even just a loose contact on a fuse block)
Bad Wiring (Since you did a wire tuck)
Bad Fuel Pump
Bad ECU
Bad Main Relay
