Icon2 Transmission problem again.

This is the 3rd time taking this tranny out. This time I think I've got it. We saw oil all over the seal on the engine side, which we are going to change this seal. Here's a question, should I change my clutch disc? About 6 months ago I took this transmission out and swaped a new clutch and flywheel on there. Recently, I ended up getting a used M2L5 for my f22b1 and my Clutch now has oil on it. Flywheel is probably going to need some resurfacing from the oil but do you think I should get another NEW Clutch or is there a way to clean the clutch that has the oil. That would suck if I gotta buy a new one if this stage 3 Clutchmasters is done.... Any suggestions?

If you do the work yourself you could risk it and reuse the clutch since you don't have to pay labor costs. However, with all the work involve, I would just replace it.

Depends on the material. If you got oil on brake pads how'd you handle it?

Ceramic/Metallic/Kevlar/Organic will all act differently.

Personally, I'd think about weither or not I'd ever want to do this job again and if I didn't, I'd buy new and e-bay the old.

might want to inspect the engine for other leaking spots and if your milage is close enough do the t-belt and then when you put it all back together you will be good to go.

I got the Clutchmasters FX300. Has anyone tried to revive a clutch from oil contamination? I'm talking about not even having 2000 miles on it before my seal started leaking. Damn flywheel needs to get the disc replace. This sucks!!! If i try and buy the same setup again it will probably cost me 700.... I cant believe this ish!
