In the description, it says he's running 1:06 which is moderately modified R32-R34 GTR territory. But he's shifting into 5th gear on the back straight. I centainly hope this is a track car; would go on long drives on the expressway with it.
Description translated:
Tsukuba circuit 1'05"259 01R F:235/40-17 R:205/50-16
Even with the last sector 0.3 falling, clearing being faster than the lap which is taken is puzzle. 01R magic.
I assume its a 01 ITR which should have come with a 4.785 already but running out rpm like that on 17s suggests a shorter FD. The difference between the 3rd and 4th gear looks like that of the '98+ JDM ITR transmission.
5th gear seems really short though.

I can't wait to get my ITR on a track, a 5.07FD combined with my power level should be fun. And no, car is not a daily driver and will most likely be towed to HPDE events.

CW = 96 spec gearing (4.4 final)
Black = 98 spec gearing (4.7 final)
Blue = full gear tune (except second) + 4.9 final
Blue ITR = 5000rpms@60mph in fifth gear; redline at 112mph in 5th gear) YIKES!

^Awesome find!
Would love to hear the comments in english, seems interesting.
One correction;
Black = 96 spec gearing (4.7 final)
Also, Blue ITR = redline at 112mph in 5th gear?
I missed that one, what time on the video is that?

Narrator mentions that the car with the full gear tune is computer tuned, and has an extended 9500rpm rev limit and a third party exhaust.

So our stock ITR motors can rev up to 9500 rpm with no other supporting mods? Doesn't sound right to me.....i don't think a stock ITR motor can handle those revs.
It's not generally recommended though, as springs/retainers will fail sooner or later if abused regularly. And then there's also no particular point in revving that high, as the stock setup peaks in power around 8k and the power just drops off with higher revs. More stress on parts and less power does not make much sense to me.
