4300K is white. Any higher color temperature will put less light on the ground. Kind of defeats the purpose of getting HID
Not to mention it looks ricer as hell.

They may actually be 4300K and just falsely labeled as 5000K so that you would buy them. That would be good for you, though, as 4300K puts the most light on the road.
Possibly. I would like to see if there is much of a difference between 4300k and 5000k. I always thought that 4300k would have a very slight yellow hue.
i have both a set of OEM philips 4300k bulbs and a set of aftermarket 5000k bulbs.
the 4300k has a slight hint of yellowish to them. the 5000k is pure white with a hint of blue.
i also have a set of 6000k bulbs which are more blue/white.
i perfer the 5000k bulbs out of them all.

4300K bulbs only appear yellowish when brand new. After about 100 hours of use they start to turn more white.
<--- currently using 5-year old 4300K bulbs, needs new bulbs badly

this!
i picked up a cheap 6000k Xentec kit for my retrofit and it looks way too blue/green for me... way more than a "hint" of blue. kinda wish i went with 4300 or maybe 5000k as i am looking for more of a white with a slight, barely noticeable tinge of blue.
my friend got an 8000k kit from Xentec about 4 months ago and stuck them in regular halo lights. after riding shotgun in his car, i saw the barely visible (extremely blue) light he does get is thrown right in front of his car and where there should be light, all i see is a faint purple glow that barely illuminates what he is looking at.
attached is a crappy cell phone pic i took tonight after finally installing my retrofit. it looks a little more blue in person, but does look a tiny bit green. damn you Xentec! i will definitely keep them as a backup though.
