The SRS light on my parent's 2001 Civic LX sedan has been on for the last couple of days. I drive this car half the time. I had a keyless viper system installed for this civic around 3 weeks before the SRS light came on. I don't know if the keyless install has anything to do with the SRS light coming on.

My understanding is that if the light is on, the airbags won't deploy in an accident. Has there been a recall for any part of the civic that may affect the SRS light? My parents plan to just reset the light. If the light is reset and doesn't come back on, does that mean the airbags will work properly in case of an accident? If someone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. If anyone else had this problem, how did you end up resolving it? The car was bought used with a salvage title 4 years ago. how bout installing a dual angel halo lights...does anyone know how to install on a 03 civic?? cos theres 2 red wires that i dont know where to connect..plz reply bak...anyone

 

i've got the same car and when my light came on it was the seat belt buckle on the driver side seat. its got lifetime warranty so go check at the dealer.

If that doesn't do it, one of the seatbelt buckles could have went bad. Happened to me. Luckily they are covered by lifetime warranty .
