Diagnosing SRS light on 2001 Civic LX
My girlfriend's 01 Civic LX has it's SRS light on. I reset this by jumping the plug but a few days later it came back.
I've read that sometimes the seatbelt sensors go bad which triggers the SRS light??
None of her airbags have gone off and it's never been in a major accident.
Is there a way to diagnose the problem or do I have to bring it in to the dealer to do this? If so, do they ever do it for free? I've read people paying $100 to have the SRS light reset at the dealer.... that's ridiculous.
