Quick Settings for Cam Gears on S2P2
Does anyone know the quick settings for "degreeing" Skunk2 Pro2 Camshafts? I looked on skunk2's website but could find them. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

a place to start is 0in +3ex and im not 100% sure, though its gonna be slightly different on every car. what does the skunk2 sheet say?. it will be bad news bears if u try 0-0. hope u did all the necessary clearance checks. theres a couple of people here that run them and probably can be more helpfull than me.

i dont have the sheet, hence why I am asking. I figured someone would have remembered when they installed there cams. But yea im going to check valve to valve clearance and wanted that as a starting place. Someone on here has to know, enough people use them.
Im going to probably start without knowing the quick settings, but I would still like to know what Skunk2 suggested. Again any help would be appreciated. thanks.

DO NOT RUN YOUR MOTOR WITH PRO2's AT 0,0.
Now that I have made my point, read the installation card that came with your camshafts (or download it off of Skunk2's website). Read the installation specs, they are not at all close to OE Honda centerlines. Start somewhere in the -1 I / +3 E range. When I had Pro2's on my motor, they liked +1I/+5E. Whatever you do, do not reduce the separation between intake and exhaust valve events any smaller than the recommended installation specs, or you are liable to get valve-to-valve contact.

My engine is set at -1 intake +3 exhaust. Thats my starting point. If I were you I would not plan on adjusting the gears if you havent checked all your clearances out first.
My old personal motor ran extremely well at 0,0 on Pro2's, as well as several customer cars. (Although more power was had at different settings)
The moral is, you're NOT going to blow the engine up at 0,0 if the head/block are anywhere near OEM heights.

I don't think anyone ever said you were going to BLOW the engine. That HAS gotten blown out of proportion (yeah yeah...that's bad). 0,0 is probably far from optimal for most applications, though. If I'm correct in what I've heard, those numbers came from one knowledgeable builder on H-T, which he, in turn, passed to Dave Hsu....and Skunk2 IS SUPPOSEDLY coming out with revised Pro1s and Pro2s that have revised centers.
He said that they won't "BLOW UP"...but more than likely will "run like ****" as compared to the aforementioned settings.
Why dont you just degree it the right way, some universal cam gear settings are not even close to do it the proper way.
