You can use copper sealant to ensure it will seal. Make sure to clean the head and the block of any old gasket material if there is any on there. Also if your car has overheated in the past, make sure to get a straight edge and a set of feeler gauges and make sure the block and the head are within spec so you dont put it all back together and still have a blown headgasket because something is warped because of overheating or improperly taking off the head bolts.

i know the bolt sequence for the b16 head. i know the torque specs, but for my life i cant get these bolts to come off, even with a 18 inch breaker bar.....im using a 14 mm socket, and it stripped on the bolt....any ideas? i hate cheap tools. What size socket should i be using on the head bolts?
as far as getting the head checked for warpage....how can i do that
