Headgasket
Well i have 140,xxx miles on my car and I think its time to replace the headgasket. How hard of a job is this? Are there advantages to after market headgaskets such as a Hondata one?

Re: Headgasket (B16ADelSol)
its very simple to do a headgasket on a B16. Just have a good torque wrench, I recomend the clicking type and if you can't find a click type that will go low enough for the cam covers and end caps, use a good rod type. Furthermore, I recomend the stock headgasket from honda, its what they put on your car from the factory, seemed to work pretty good don't you think? Its what I run. The simple way to do the gasket is to not even unhook any hoses or lines, just unbolt the header, lift up the head once the head bolts are out, clean surface of head and block with a towel that will not leave residue, clean head bolts good, put 2 headbolts through head and slip gasket underneath head with bolts in them so the gasket is lined up good, set head down and thread bolts then put the rest in and torque to spec. It will smoke white probably for a little while because of the coolant on the pistons, but this will clear up if everything was done right. Took me about 15 minutes to clean everything till it shined and put it back together (not including putting the timing belt back on). Whole job took about half hour to 45 minutes. Good luck.
