i ran my cel and it flashed a 14 and 22, ive read that 14 is either an egr or iacv, and 22 is electronic vtec switch or the vtec pressure solenoid, as im new to vtec how do i go about fixing the latter? and what are my codes really?

Anything special about the car? (such as engine swap or mini-me swap)

 

its a '96 dx hatch converted to obd1 with and h22a, p14 ecu

 

You have to do the IACV 3 pin to 2 pin fix.

Did you wire up VTEC?

 

no unfortunately i bought the car swapped so im guessing at everything that i am fixing, i know i have vtec but it doesnt engage all the time but when it does i can definitely hear it. which iacv is 3 pin?

 

Is your oil level low?

96-00 DX/LX/CX IACV is 3 pin (99% sure)

first though, which engine harness did you use?

 

i checked oil the second i saw vtec and its fine, i think its a hasport harness
