Default K24 question (noob)

new to the k series, from my understanding what would I benefit from having a K24 with K20R cams? would this be an ideal swap for an eg?

K24 was pulled from tsx, has pink slip. ill check the stamp later, is this generally the same idea as the b series? k24= the new B20 and K20= new B18C?

Not quite the idea ^^ The one you want is a k24a2 which it sounds like that's what you got, if in fact it is the original motor out of the TSX. As for your analogy, I wouldn't even compare a K-series motor to a B-series. K-series FTW!!

I have a straight k24a2 swap in my rsx. No head swap just the full engine.

what is the difference in performance>? is the k24 like an economy version>? or is it more beefy than the k20? i know liter wise its bigger, but that doesnt always mean that its better.

k24=2.2L @200hp k20a=2.0L @220(or so)hp k20a2=2.0L @200hp

so a good combo would be k24 from tsx, with rsx type-s head with dc5R cams(valve springs)

seen this in an eg with a kpro as well, speechless..................

Sorry to Hijack, but what about the new K24Z3 in the 08 accord.

I know a head swap was possible with the old k24a's but is the head assembly different on the z's? or is there even a point to a head swap with the eco friendly engine?

NO, K24 = 2.4l WHAT DO YOU THINK THE 24 MEANS?

hondata's kpro is the standaard, most people run it.
