I have an opportunity to buy this header at a good price but not sure if i want to get this header or the Hytech replica from a vendor on here.

thats a good budget header.i use to own one on my jdm gsr.that header made 2hp less after replacing it with rage header.this is on jdm gsr i/h/e/ im manifold,bc +3 spec, fsr,ge cam gear tuned on hondata 175 dyno @ whietfield racing.if you have no further plan for future hp upgrade its a great header. But if u plan to be in the game for a long time i would invest in a much better header such as smsp, rmf, rage that way u spend your money wisely worth the purchase.my 02.

Are you in a quest for the biggest whp #?
Is ground clearance important for you?

Ive used the 2 pc "proflow" one with the collector modded to 2.5 dia. on both a 1.6 and 1.8.
No complaints from me. Picked it up from summit some years back for cheap.
Quality was good enough that my friend is still using it today, no issues.
If your not going to mod the collector theres no point in comparing since you can expect a dia of 2.25 or less.

Well i'm not really looking to do much more to my motor then what's listed (Check SIG)

I'm not in for the highest WHP gain at all really. Just wanted a nice header, Better then my DC 4-1 and GReddy Header for better flow and a little more WHP.

It's either this JG header for 320 WITH new o2 sensor ( I need one )
Or.. Hytech for 300 shipped.. and me needing a o2 Sensor.

without even getting into the power characteristrics between each header, your left with a collector dillema.

I notice your using an ITR exhaust with a testpipe i'll assume is 2.5 as well.
The hytech rep will bolt up (assuming the testpipe is adjustable)
Im not aware if the jg edelbrock ever came in 2.5. which means you'd need to alter it.

Something to think about...

Not to worried about that. My buddy owns a shop that can take care of that quick.

Was just asking about the header/performance. Not Clearance, collector, and anything like that lol
Thanks for the concern though.

sorry. I read what you asked, just stating what came to mind and wasnt trying to break it down all intense.

I think the jge is a good piece for the mid range aspect on the hi comp ls.
I actually used mine on a stock cam p30 piston ls.

I would say the hytech rep would be better suited for high rpm use, but I had not used that on the ls motor I had.

Like I said I have no actual #'s report between the 2 but I think a 2.5 collector jge would do fine for the stock cam/rpm range of the ls.

But if you plan to switch cams sooner than later then you might want to plan ahead and
choose around that. The long tube design tri y would be a better suited top end header than the jge.

Haha it's all good, I appreciate it.

I also don't think i'm going to be revving anymore then 7,500 RPM's so I think i'm good in that department lol

So all in all, I think i'm just going to pick up the JG for that deal.
