Default skunk2 vtec solenoid cover....

ok kinda weird topic i know buuut..anyone ever slapped on one of those skunk2 inside vtec solenoid covers? bought one for my b16 swap in the ef and the ****er doesnt fit its too small..wtf it says it fits d,b,h,and f series..

all but the jdm b16a's which i dont have

It will not fit OBD0 B16 vtec soleniods. Just go buy an OBD1 or OBD2 B16 solenoid and you will be able to use it.

just take the solenoid off...tape the wire so it dosen't get nicked and hit it with a wire wheel, then through a nice coat of paint on it Did that to my D15z1's and it looks great...sell the skunk 2 and save some cash

the cover serves no real useful purpose
BUT thats for you to decide, you can get a solenoid of a different car and itll work fine, just make sure that if it isnt the same plug, switch it out with the plug off your obd0 piece

the solenoid is obd1....came off a del sol. could it be that someone swapped plugs on it? i know it serves no purpose..its a dress up piece. i like it and was sooper pissed when the thing didnt fit. i have a spare d series solenoid. would the top of that one function on the b16 solenoid? it fits the d series

Looks like you are in luck, the solenoid is the same part number between the B16 and the D16z6

B16

cool ill do that then. i have a d15b layin round that i bought and ive been using it as a donor for parts here and there. ill swipe the solenoid top off of it tomorrow. thanks
