Default Door panel inserts? I need help!

I tried searching but this search engine just isnt what it used to be and could only find one thread but the gentleman's door panels were different from mine.

My car is a 97 DX and I can't figure out how you guys are doing your door panel inserts.
If you can point me to the thread that explains it thatd be great. Or tell me here.

This is where I am at.

Yeah its a sedan. I just poked through a couple of those holes and got the fabric loose. It's going to be tricky to get the edges. Might have to hot glue them.

Yeah for the backing atleast. Maybe not for the edges.

well its hard to tell but it seems that when you put it back together the panel itself will cover up most of the major imperfections. unless you really do a bad job...

I've done it to all of my EF's. It will work fine. Plus the handle will be covering some of it too.

HA! i knew it! but your pannels look different cuz you have a sedan and he has a coupe.
since the sedan has 4 doors, the door and pannels will be smaller.

when i did mine(which i still need to redo with real tweed) i hot glued the sides.
came out sexier than i imagined

There are no connection points. It is just spray glued on the back and hot glued where all the little holes are.
