Alarm just goes off
Hi, new to the site. Seems like motion sensor. Can anyone help me with the location of this. Has anyone had this problem of the car alarm going off periodically for no reason. Thanks for your help. Look forward to hearing any responses.
This is about the most descriptive post ever.
No info about the car
No info about the alarm that's installed
No info at all.
So I'm going to say the ghost/supernatural sensor is going off in your '74 volvo. You need to hire the ghost busters to rid your area of any stray ghosts flying around.

The sensor is going to be on the hub of the alarm. Like Wamo said though we need more info then that.. Is it a factory alarm or aftermarket? You should paint a picture so that it will be easier to help you, ya know. Anyway. Chances are if it is aftermarket it will be underneath the driver side dash. The hubs are pretty easy to spot.

ooooh. Factory may not be so easy to adjust. I have seen many that needed to be calibrated by a installer or somebody with the equip to do so. But before you go spend the money on that look for the module under the dash and see what you can find. Take some pics while you are under there and we may e able to help out a little more.

As it seems I'm being ignored even if I'm 100% correct. I shall try an approach other than sarcasm.
Pete888,
You still fail to mention the make, model or any information on your car at all. While one can assume you have a Honda and one could assume you have an Accord no one knows. And even with that we'll have to play Russian Roulette on the year. Believe it or not but not every Honda is identical to the next.
Post the FULL DETAILS on your vehicle to get useful help other than "alarm is too sensitive turn it down" you want help, we need info to give you the correct help.

The factory accessory security module for 5th gen Accords can located under the driver side dash or under the seat. For 6th gen Accords, usually under the dash.
Give more info. like the year, 4 cylinders or V6, etc. and we can try to give you more info. relevant to your car.

Check near the steering column (behind the steering cover) for a black box that should have something like "Security System" written on it.
