HELP! Del Sol bottoming out BADLY!
I bought a 94 Del Sol VTEC a while back. It came fitted with a set of Tein S-Tech springs and factory struts. I have since installed a Skunk2 Pro Series front camber kit. However, even BEFORE I installed the camber kit, the car would bottom out over hard bumps with just me in it and bottoms out over even SMALL bumps with me and a passenger. It has gotten to the point that when I open the hood, I can see DENTS on the strut tower area where the front control arms are slamming into it from beneath. Well, I am about SICK of it and I am trying to figure out what the problem could be. I thought maybe the springs were shot, but I'm not too sure. I don't even know how long they've been on the car. I like the ride height (picured below) it has at the moment and didn't want to get a "higher" lowering spring.

Maybe it's time to swap out the struts. If so, does anyone have the same setup and can recommend any to fix this problem? So, if anyone has any suggestions or maybe some experience with this setup, it'd be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks

Your struts are bad! With the skunk2 camber kit though it is going to hit. Mine did but only when I hit large bumps and actually bottomed out my car. the control arms are just slightly too big where the adjustment is and there is nothing you can do about it. It pissed me off when I popped my hood because the paint started flaking around where it was hitting. Just replace your shocks and it should stop you from bottoming out so much and help to stop the camber kit from hitting every time.
Is it bouncing over small bumps? That would indicate that the shocks are blown. With the car parked, push down with force quickly on a corner of the car. If it oscillates more than just a couple times, the shocks/struts are probably blown.
No, it's not really bouncy like you see most cars with blown shocks / struts doing. That's why I wasn't sure if the struts were the problem.

I'm convinced that you are just too low. del Sols don't usually take too kindly to being lowered. I'm lowered 1.8" front 1.6" rear and when I first put those springs on it, my tire tread got torn up in the wheelwell from a metal lip sticking down. Never had this problem on my old Civic ('93).
