Default Can I use oem head gasket for 81.5mm bore/pistons?

I'm planning on getting some RS machine 81.50 pistons but I would like to retain the factory Honda h/g. The question is, will it fit or do I need an aftermarket one? If not then some guy is selling some itr 81.25 for 200 shipped with rings. Thanks for the help.

OEM headgasket will work up to and including a 82 mm bore.

Just use RS machine PRs no machining required.

Just don't order them FROM RS Machines....based on what I've heard about their customer svc.

I think KTeller is a dealer.

Also depends on how much chamfer was put on the top of the cylinders.

I have done this as well (on 82mm) w/no problems but curious what would be the drawback of .010 of gasket hanging over the bore? Guessing it could create a sealing issue? Remember its only .010 were talking about?

if you run it and it works thats fine but i would rather have one that fit the bore or was bigger then my bore than take a chance with a smaller bore gasket.

Smaller has the possible problem of a hot spot, or detonation. Same as not boring your head to fit the bore. The smallest I have ever measured a Stock gasket is 81.75mm usually they are a bit bigger. If this was a turbo, I would run an 82.25 gasket, NA seems fine. And this is the NA forum.
