Default b18a1 build question

I'm building my B18a1 for future turbo application. B18B1 head is gonna go on top after I get the a1 in my civic.

I have a quick question about balancing the engine. I plan on getting a lighter flywheel, and I'm only looking for 250 max HP. Is the balancing absolutely necessary? I'm not trying to spend lots of money, and I'd like to start putting the engine together instead of waiting until I could afford a flywheel and clutch kit.

Any comment/opinion is welcome here.

if you're gonna boost there's no need for a lightweight flywheel you will need a better clutch than stock, and as far as building, just do headwork, the motor is low compression already so there's no need for low compression pistons and since you want 250 hp max i would recommend dual valve springs maybe more aggressive cams and a good tune.

Thanks for the input. If the stock flywheel is alright, I might just go with that. I brought this up, b/c I did not get the flywheel with the motor.

My main question was about the balancing part. My bottom end is gonna remain stock, and I'm building the B18B1 head I'm about to get. But thanks for the input. As far as the building of the head goes, I'm getting stage 2 cams, springs and retainers, a P&P job, aftermarket cam gears. I think that should be able to take me where I'm going. and if what I've been seeing is correct, I might not get the P&P job done. I'm not looking for outrageous power just a bit more peppy than a stock LS. You know something that can keep up with VTEC's and most stock sports cars.

no need to rebalance the crank if you using the same rods and pistons that came with the LS motor

also don't forget arp headstuds this will help the motor hold that boost, this is highly recommended for turbo applications.
