Crankshaft wont rotate
so i just had my motor built and i assembled it on a engine stand and installed my timing belt, set the timing and rotated the crank about 10 times to make sure everything was good. I put my tranny on, dropped the motor in and put everything together. Now when i turn the crank to set the timing for the distributor, the crank will only turn about a quarter turn and then stops. when i rotate it back and forth it sounds like its hitting somethin when it stops each direction. I took the timing belt off to see if it was gettin stuck on the valves but even when i turn just the crank it gets stuck. I am thinking it is something to do with the tranny or even my clutch and flywheel. Please help!
Did you rotate it counter clockwise when doing the timing belt?
Did it spin with the clutch assembly on it, is the transmission in gear?
Try dropping the oilpan to make sure there isn't anything lodged inside the cylinders.

not in gear i never, i turned it counterclockwise, but i didnt spin it after i put the clutch assembly and tranny on before i put it in which i should have done. I thought the problem might be in the clutch and flywheel i just dont see why it would rotate about a quarter turn
