butchered flywheel bolt thread
Yeah...I know, sucks.
Does anyone have any experience with trying to re thread the hole for the same size flywheel bolt to try and salvage the thread?

If its stock just buy a used one. People are always tryin to get rid of em. I got one for a B series if you want it. You'd have to pay for shipping tho.
The threads arent that bad, the bolt get's a bite on them but there's alot of resistance when going into the hole.
Yes, it's the flywheel bolts that go into the back of the crank.
The bolt threads in but gets really tough about half way..I dont want to force it. Think I can get away with just cleaning the threads?

Ok then lubricate the threads and take a bolt and slowly work it back in. Turn it in then out in then out going a little farther every time. Should be able to clean it up a little bit.
Running a tap in the hole to clean it out would be the best bet first. If the bolts dont turn in smoothly you might think it is torqued properly only to have it back out later. Good luck.
