shift linkage removal help!!!

Default shift linkage removal help!!!

i am trying to take off the shift linkage on my eg(b16 trans). i took off the bolts and found that there is no b*tch pin on my shift linkage and it still wont come off. i am taking the linkage off to take the trans off because the car is stuck in 1st and 2nd gear and wont go into any other gear(i cant move the shifter side to side). how would i take of my linkage??

What bolts did you take off? There's only one bolt, and that is for the stabilizer bar.

yea i took that one bolt off and i took the other linkage off.

What other linkage? Do you mean the bolts that hold the shifter in the car? Either way, if you really don't have a bitch pin (which I doubt), it should come right off. Have you removed your c-clamp? The pin will be under that, which is under a rubber boot.

yup. gotta move the rubber boot before you can get to it. and i'd recommend using a bolt and hammer to pound that pin out.
