It depends. The 60-1 is one of the few compressor wheels that can fit in 3 Garrett covers. T04B (such as my silver surfer), T04E, and T04S. The t04b can easily fit without notching the block, the E may take some work, and the S will be a pain. which one do you have?

My silver surfer cleared the block but not the clutch slave cylinder - the compressor inlet hit the nipple.

The Gen2 Silver Surfer has a slightly shorter inlet, but the OPs concern was the housing hitting the block. The silver surfer will not.

#1 question 4 or 5 bolt outlet >?

5-bolt outlet yes- with enough block grinding will fit

4-bolt no way in hell unless you have a t04B housing which i doubt

Exactly. Only the Silver Surfer has a T04B.

i too had this problem with the silver surfer, it hit the nipple on the slave
so i just made a 1/4" thick alum flange and it cleared

That problem was a little different. that was based upon the compressor INLET, not the housing (from what I gather here). The Gen2 Surfer doesn't have that problem any longer.
