Default Question on boosting my DOHC ZC

I am slowly coming around to boosting my hatch and had some questions on which path I should follow(kit, or build my own). I have read similar forums that say just buy a kit to save the hassle. Others say it would be cheaper to build my own.
Can someone give me some advice on what I should do?

The best way is to figure out what you'll need first, meaning researching how a turbo kit works. Generally the time you spend looking for parts will increase your knowledge greatly. You'll also save money, unless you're impatient & impulsive, or hunt for the the cheapest junk. One thing about buying slightly used parts - you can always sell them for the same amount later. New parts will always be sold at a loss.

If you're not building the bottom end, you don't need much beyond the basics. Unlike NA builds, you can always turn up the boost to make more power.
