need help...oil light keeps flashing
i just picked up a 94 accord this past sunday. since then i've changed the oil 2 times. both times after the car has warmed up, the oil light will flash at a steady beat. i tried reading the repair manual but i not all that familiar with engine work and trying to teach myself. what is causing the oil light to flash even though it has plenty of it?

Try to reset the damn thing. On the little nub thats resets your mileage trip gauge simple press it down for about 5 seconds. Turn the car on with the nub still being held down. Hold it for at least ten more seconds. It will reset itself and turn off.
WTF...I checked the oil sensor only to the outer boot that holds the wiring to the sensor was cracked half way off. What do I do?? Does this mean I have to replace the whole wire? I think I should take it to a shop.....damn
Well I just changed the sensor and hooked up the wire. I got it to work (I think)....now I got a different problem with the light. It only comes on at an idle, but while driving, it's fine. There is oil and the engine seems to be fine. No weird noises, rough idle, or smoke. What else should I check???

When my oil light started coming on at idle (or low rpm) it turned out to be the oil pickup screen on the oil pump that was getting clogged up. You would have to remove the oil pan to check that, which is not as simple as it sounds.
