Default Alarm Set Up

I did a search and nothing to my liking came up. I have a 97 dx with power nothing and I need an alarm in there. People with dx/cx/vx and any other powerless cars what have you done.

Im not sure if I should look to install power window/locks or can I use my oem crap and hook up and nice alarm to that. Im just starting with this alarm stuff any info will be helpful.

Thanks

If you install an alarm, you can install a power door lock actuator in the door no problem at all, in either the driver's side or both doors even. The door lock actuator runs maybe $30.00 and probably 1.5-2 hours of labor per door added to the cost of a basic alarm.

my friend added power door locks to his car that didn't have power door locks for about $50 total (door lock actuators and relays) and hooked it up to his alarm...
