Taking off mirrors

Probly a stupid question but i am kind of stumped on how to take off the stock mirrors. How can I take off that little black triangle ?? Do i have to take out the door card?? thanks

I always just used a screw driver and pried it up and off

oh really ok, where should i pry it from? the bottom?

There are 3 screws holding them onto the car. Pull the little cap off of the mirror adjustment and un-screw the ****. Then pull the cover (Triangular piece) and you will see the 3 screws. Done...
