can i use stock ecu on low compression pistons
i have a 92 integra ls i am going turbo but i want to run no turbo for 6 months can i use stock ecu and fuel system on low compression pistons ? will i hurt my motor without a tune?
will it run to rich ? or am i in the clear i am using wiseco 8.5-1 pistons

Low compression...well it shouldn't hurt at all! But the like you said...it will run rich. If your not going to run turbo for the next 6 months. Put back on the high compression pistons. That way your ls wont lag!!!
your motor is going to hate you outside of closed loop. When your engine wants to richen the mixture at high rpms, you are going to wash out your rings. Use that ecu to get the car running in the garage, but you are only doing your engine damage when it leaves the garage. Save your money and put the pistons in when you get the turbo. Even if you do get a tune, you are making less hp without boost. Why would you want to put miles on pistons to make less power than the ones you have?
I was in a situation where i installed my motor but had to drive the car because it was my only one so i lowered the compression and drove it for almost a year, but my compression was only lowered 0.2:1 so it wasn't that much of a difference, 0.7:1 is a little larger drop, not sure how it would run.
