I know that there has to be other threads out there on this but I searched for quite a while, and the search engine probably wasn't helping much. I'm planning on dyeing the light gray trim pieces in my car black to match the black dash and door panels. I would just spray paint them black but I want to steer clear of that for now because it scratches off pretty easily usually, and dyeing plastic seems like it would be a more effective way. I was just planning on using some rit plastic dye or something. All I wanted to know is if someone has done this before, if there is a better method/product out there, or if someone could show me a thread or two where someone else has done this? Thanks guys.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look into sem products. I wanted to try a dip dye though, like a powder or liquid in boiling water, before I resorted to spray on stuff. Still looking for some info on something around that route. Thanks.
