Default 96 spec JDM ITR motor (OBD2a) into my 00 Civic EX (OBD2b)

So i'm trying to find information on swapping an obd2a itr motor into my obd2b civic. I searched and all I found is a bunch of threads of other people who searched and came up with nothing.

I know the ECU's are different, I know that the wiring harness is different.

So how do I go about swapping a 96 ITR motor into my 00 EX? Should I just say **** it and go with a OBD1 GSR?

Maybe call rywire?

Edit: I should add that I'm not confused about the swap, that part is easy. I'm confused when it comes to wiring. Can I just use my OBD2b VTEC harness on an OBD2a engine? Or do I need an OBD2a harness? Either way I'm going to convert it to a chipped p28 to run the motor.

if it's a 99-00 civic EX, all you will need to do is swap the dizzy plug from your d16y8 dizzy to the ITR distributor..

everything will be pretty much plug and play.. whatever else doesn't plug up can be disabled by a conversion harness from obd2b - obd1..

you may have to extend a few plugs, IAT, fuel injectors and a few others.. that should be it!

Yeah it is a EX. So I can just use my EX harness, extend what is needed, and swap the dizzy plugs and be good to go? (I realize I need the harness to convert to obd1)
