91 integra ls starting problems
this just started a week ago. when i start my car, sometimes it starts right away, but most times it doesnt want to start. it cranks but it wont start. in order for me to get it started, i would need to step on the gas pedal while cranking the car, then eventually it starts up. for the first few seconds after its started, i can smell gasoline but it goes away after. the car runs fine with no hesitation whatsoever. no check engine light also. can anybody point me to the right direction on what to check before i start replacing parts? thanks in advance

could the fuel smell be caused by stepping on the gas pedal while starting it, therefore causing it to flood? just a thought. i will check the voltage drop on the starter next, i ruled out the main relay because its ok according to the relay diagnostics i found on the sticky above.
