Call Bisi and ask him. He's a nice guy and no one knows more about D series motors.

Not a problem at all... And it wont cost you as much as a swap. The right combination of parts and you can achieve your goals.

What do you mean not a problem? the OP stated that he doesn't want to open the engine to replace anything (pistons, valve train ect.) You WILL NOT achieve 160hp without opening the engine up and increasing compression to at least 11.5:1 and getting some aftermarket valve train.

A ported head, good working cam, and either some sort of aftermarket fuel injection or carbs will do that easily. Just throwing basic bolt ons wont do it unless it involves a bottle.

^^ Yeah but to port the head you have to take the engine to bits anyway. And there is hours of work in a decent P&P.
If I were you i'd just save my pennys, stop pissing around and do an H-swap, its a weekends work even for a pie-fingers. Just use Yonaka mounts nice and cheap and bulletproof.

Face it buddy, your gonna have to suck it up and crack open your engine. I hate to say it, but the D16 just doesn't generate enough power to get what you want. Do the bolt-ons first if you like, but to reach your 160 goal you'll definitely need to do more.

If I can get 160+ from a 1.5 with minimum add ons. Then I am sure it is very possible. But you will need to at least pull the head off.

1.5L non vtec
stock rods & rod bolts
p29 pistons which only give me about 11:1 compression
stock head with fresh valve job & milled .040
Bisimoto camshaft
Dual 45mm Weber carbs
Garbage header

Thats all......

This season I am building another d15 but with 76mm 15:1 compression and porting the head. Pretty much everything else will be the same
