Help! z6 head on y7 block, engine dies when gas hard...
Mini-me swap Goes Wrong!!!
I recently put a d16z6 vtec head on a d16y6 block. I used the z6 head, intake manifold, throttle body, fuel rail, and fuel injectors. I used a d15b distributor and solder the wires correctly according to the post for obdII to obd1 distributor. I had to solder the z6 fuel injector connectors. For the ecu, I used p2p . The change was made according to the forums on the vtec solenoid, vtec switch, and iacv plugs.
Problem:
I am having a problem with my fuel for the motor. I believe there is a problem with it receiving fuel. It starts like a champ but the moment I gas it, the motor chokes and rpm drops almost dead. I can rev up the engine slowly up to 3,000 rpm but stepping on it any faster chokes the engine and shuts off unless i gas it very slowly. Can anyone please help me. I Really need your all of your help and opinions. This is where i get all of my info to get the job done because a lot of people on honda-tech are doctors when it comes to Honda. Please tell me the problem is not big.
Solution:
The two sensors on the IM with the same harness plugs are often switched up by accident.
