hey guys, i did some cylinder head work about 6 months ago, and to my knowledge VTEC was working. No CEL's, and I had a light hooked up to my ECU letting me know when it was engaging. The solenoid is in working order, or at least I believe it is (it clicks when grounded). He had my car up on the dynopack and it was only throwing up 117whp and the power curve went down when VTEC would normally engage... He told me there should be a screw in the oil jet on the block (contrary to what I believe) because it allows pressure to generate and jet to the cylinder head.
I'm going to try to hook up an oil pressure gauge and go from there, then check out my rocker arms and lost motion assembly. If all else fails I guess im gonna rip off the head. If anyone has any advice, I'm all ears, I'd really rather not have to pull the head. So thanks in advance, and I'm sorry for the lengthy post.

update if anyone's paying attention:
i removed my rocker arm and lost motion assemblies and found that I'm missing 2 synchronizing pistons, that "lock" the rocker arms together. Shawn at church (where i got it dyno'd) was tellin me if im missing any of those pins, VTEC won't engage... so i guess i'll have to start by trying to find those parts...

Great help guys!
Problem turned out to be missing synchronizing pins (2) in my rocker arm assembly which enable VTEC operation... Put it back together, fired it up, warmed it up, and let it rip. First time I heard VTEC with my crower cam (I thought I was hearing it this whole time at 4800 rpms
). Anyways, got it up and running and got my tuned finished
