Accord side marker install*****help!!!
I have a 1996 honda accord and I just bought some side markers for it but I have no idea how to wire them up. I have no problem with the cutting of the fender or where but which wires do I connect with which. I want the side markers to be on with the corner lights but alternate with the turn signals when I signal. Please there is nothing about this in the FAQ or I cant find a good source of answers. If anyone could help me, it would be much appreciated. Thanks
The corners are I believe negative trigger, like most of the other lights.
Positive Sidemarker -> Positive Corner/Blinker
Negative Sidemarker -> Ground
The signals see a positive/positive I believe, and then when activated see a ground on one of the lines and turn on. So when signals are off the markers would be seeing a positive/ground, when the signals are on they would see a ground/ground.
I *believe* that is correct. Your best bet is to use a multimeter and verify the wiring. You have a 1996 so you will need to wire them to the bumper signals as the corner lights do not blink.
To test it,
+ multimeter in volts (20V) in one pin of the connector
- multimeter to chassis ground
If you see +12V you have a positive when the light is off
If you see a 0V (or close to it) you have a negative when the light is off
Repeat that process for the other side of the bumper connector.
I *believe* you should see +12/+12 on both pins and when activated (ie bulb is on) one of those lines should go to 0V/ground. That is the one you would use for the sidemarker.

i dont really know all the lingo in this field of cars. sorry if it sounds nooby but i am. What color to what color. There is a green wire and a black wire coming from each side marker. what color is positive and whta color is negative and what colors do I connect to what colors? do I connect the green to the corner and the black(thinking its the ground) to the bumper lens. or i dont know. heres some pictures of the side markers. help greatly appreciated.

Connect the green wire to your bumper light wire, that is light colored. Connect the black wire to the other wire. It doesn't really matter how you do it its only a light bulb. You are wiring it in parallel, google parallel wiring. Positive and negative doesn't matter.

uber has it only being on to flash, not being on and then flashing. The 94/95 has a flashing corner bulb. The 96/97 does not so you have to play with the wiring to get your desired effect. That's what my post was detailing.
