Lately I've noticed its getting harder to shift between gears... its not nearly as smooth as it was when I first got it. Also sometimes when shifting into first from neutral (at a dead stop) it won't go all the way into gear, I have to let off the clutch a little before it does.

Do you think I just need to change my transmission and clutch fluid or is the problem worse? Theres no grinding or anything, its just kind of hard to shift lately and takes more effort than it used to.

edit: car has 67k miles on it, 58k when I bought it from the dealer.

Change your fluid and put in genuine Honda MTF. Things should get better. Also, go ahead and change that clutch fluid if it has been a while.


Worst case scenario: bad synchros and or bad clutch, but it's probably just a fluid problem.

might be the slave cylinder also...but yeah, try fluids first

 

had the same problem @ 110K. changed the fluids and it has been fine ever since (now at 150K)
