Default Is there an easier way to change springs?

I'm swapping my H&R's back to stock OEM springs and I am having the hardest time trying to put my OEM springs on my shocks. I don't know if I'm tired or what, but I can't seem to compress the spring enough to put the top hat on.

Is there an easier trick on doing this? Or is compressing the spring as far as I can is the only way. Which coils do I put the spring compressor around the make this easier?

Any help would be appreciated, I just want to get this done as soon as I can as this is my DD car. Thanks guys.
