what does it mean if there is white smoke comming from tail pipe?
when i start up the car there is a whole bunch of while smoke.
well the car is not tuned yet. i have new cams and rebuilt engine. is it because i have no tune?
is the coolant causing the white smoke?

rebuilt engine not even tuned yet, and you already got major problems. not good
definately coolant being burned. why and how it's getting into the combustion chamber is the next question.

i guess ill have to take it apart again?!?
is there anyway to figure out if its a major issue or something simple to fix?
i would like to avoid taking it to the shop again.

Really, all cars "smoke" on start up..
Usually,It is just the moisture that collects in the warm exhaust
after you shut it coming out..
As long as it runs..just drive it..
Monitor all your fluids and make sure none are disappearing...
Low oil or missing coolant would signify a problem..

Both theories have equal merit.
nope it happened to me before when i worked for Honda, plenty of times there was a defect in gaskets as a technician you would know that . no comparison to a warped head now that is stupid on the mechanics fault.
So nope doesn't compare sorry.

Coolant is definitely leaking into your cylinders. Most likely its from a Bad Head Gasket or Warped/Cracked head. Your best bet would be to replace the head gasket and just for good measure, maybe get that head inspected. A shop might charge $200-$300? thats just on top of my head though..
As far as driving, if is feels like its running strong and there is no check engine light "on"..then i guess you're alright for NOW... but i i would be cautious.

yes the car is running ok but again i have not tuned it yet. so it is very rocky. if the shop looks at the head do i need to bring the engine out of the car or do i just take off the head and bring that to him?
what are the chances that its not the head but the actual engine?
wouldnt the lower part of the engine be warped along with the head or am i not understanding this correctly?

Just take the head off, take it to a shop to get inspected. They will be able to tell you if its warped. While its off you might as well get it P&P.
thanks for the explaination, i actually thought you guys meant the bottom section where the heads are bolted to.
just to clearify this part is not the head right?

if there was overheating in the past will the whole engine be warped or will only the head be warped?
also since ill need a new headgasket, i thought i saw a higher performance one on here somewhere but i dont know the name of the company that makes them. does anyone know what is a very high quality headgasket i can get. i want one even better then honda, one that can handle more then oem gaskets.

Omg how come no one figure to tell him maybe he mixed up a vacuum line with a coolant line at the throttle body. I seen it happen before, it causes the engine to run like **** and alot of white smoke. I mean what are the chances of a defective head gasket vs mixed up lines? And yes ^^ that pic. is NOT the head.

then why does the bottom end not warp like the heads? when the car gets overheated!??!?!
the only hose i can think of is the one that goes to the iacv in the rear. is there anywhere else i should check?
