Icon6 WHITE SMOKE.. new head gasked installed?

I recently bought a 1995 Civic lx with the d15b7 engine. It was smoking like crazy, white smoke that smelt like burning coolant, so I figured it was the head gasket and trailered it home for what I thought would be an easy fix. I took it apart, head gasket didnt look very pretty but it wasnt like ripped in half with a river of coolant going into the combustion chamber.
I replaced it with a felpro gasked after cleaning both surfaces, torqued to 22 then 49 ft-lbs and put everything back together. Accidentally had head 180 off so I flooded the hell out of it and then I got that fixed, used a torch to dry off pistons, and then it finally started. Problem is it still smokes just as bad.

Ive read that the coolant could still be in cat and will cause it to smoke for awhile but this seems like more than that. Compression from cyl1-4 is 130, 160,160,160. The 130 is from a slight scratch in the cylinder wall I noticed but that should be burning oil not coolant.

Any input would help!

Thanks

1) Dowel pins were re-installed?
2) Head bolts were torqued down, and torqued in the correct sequence?
3) Head was resurfaced or at least checked for warpage?

I had to fix this same problem when my buddy swapped his head for a z6. The culprit was the dowel pins, and they were a pain to remove. Replaced, drives like a dream.

Yea i did everything but check to see how parallel the head was to block. The doll pins looked a little beat up but they work. I just let it idle for an hour and the smoke is slowly going away. I wonder if it is all in the exhaust?

Could be all just in the exhaust, radiator, or the leftover in the block or intake manifold.

Dude.... To get it shaved would cost from $10-$60 for the sake of the next person you could've done it right.
If the warpage was bad it's gonna blow again.

reason why I'm offended by this is because my current and first car is my 99 civic which I bought for 3k, nice body and wheels. The previous owner had it for 3 days, he turned it around himself claiming to change the head gasket but it was blown shortly after. Not even 2 days and it began overheating. I ended up doing the head gasket change myself due to lack of funds and as an automotive project for school, but hey, your car, your reputation . Let's hope it's not warped.

I've been screwerd too. It happens. The car runs great. I work at a machine shop and it wasn't worth my time to get it done. Changing a head gasket takes a couple of hours if you know a thing or two about cars. I came here for others people opinions to help, not to hear you whine. Ppl like you and ppl that say use the search button or call ppl idiots should be banned from forums. Help or move on. Just my two cents
